The US will donate to Moldova the Stratlink electronic system for issuing permits for strategic trade control
It is planned that the US State Department will donate this system to the Moldovan Agency of Public Services under the agreement, the start of negotiations on which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, giving the authority to sign this document to the Secretary General of the Government Artur Mija. It is assumed that the implementation of the Stratlink system will prevent the illegal transfer of goods and sensitive technologies, since it will control and regulate the export, re-export, transit, transshipment, as well as the management of licenses for goods transiting through our country. Currently, a single system is in effect in our country, and the agency authorized to issue, extend, suspend or cancel permits is the Public Services Agency. Permits are issued based on decisions of the Interdepartmental Commission for Control over the Export, Re-export, Import and Transit of Strategic Goods. The petitioner must submit an application through a single electronic center for submitting applications for permits. The decision to issue a permit is made within 30 calendar days after receiving all the necessary documents. The transition to the Stratlink system will ensure the digitalization of the process of providing government services in this area. The cost of the Stratlink system is almost $30 thousand. // 12.02.2025 — InfoMarket
