Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova) published new Rules for Trading Activities; Special Market Trade Rules; Regulation on the Procedure for Indication of Prices for Goods Offered to Consumers; Sanitary Regulation for Trading Units Trading in Food and Sanitary Regulation for Catering Enterprises. The rules establish requirements for the organization of internal trade, including retail, wholesale and outbound trade (requirements for documentation, personnel, working hours, measuring instruments, placement of goods in showcases, rules of conduct of cashier/salesman in settlements with consumers). Special Market Trade Rules establish the procedure for market establishment and organization of market activities, types of markets, sanitary requirements, trade restrictions in markets, rights and obligations of market administrators, rights and obligations of traders, and basics of market regulation. The Regulation on the Procedure for Indication of Prices for Goods Offered to Consumers defines the procedure for indicating the selling price and price per unit (unit) of goods displayed in sales halls and offered to consumers in order to provide them with complete and accurate information, as well as an opportunity for easy price comparison. The Sanitary Regulation for Trading Units Trading in Food establish requirements for the location, design, arrangement, lighting, ventilation, water supply and sewerage; requirements for technological equipment, devices, equipment and utensils used by the trade units selling food products; sanitary requirements for the sale of food products; sanitary requirements for small retail trade units, including vending machines; requirements for the prevention of cross-contamination The Sanitary Regulation for Catering Enterprises establish sanitary and hygiene requirements for public catering facilities - design, construction, water supply and sewerage, lighting and ventilation, storage and transportation of raw materials and finished products, hygiene of personnel, etc. The new rules relating to internal trade will take effect six months from the date of publication.
