
Moldovan exports to Romania in January-February 2023 amounted to $230.98 million, up 23.6% from the same period in 2022.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of supplies of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports during the mentioned period increased from 28.01% to 33.6%. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania in 2 months of 2023, relative to the corresponding period of the previous year, increased by 45.4% - up to $246.46 million, and its share in the total Moldovan import increased from 13.13% to 16.59%. As a result, the negative balance of Moldova's trade with Romania in January-February 2023 amounted to $15.48 million, while in the same period a year earlier the positive balance amounted to $17.31 million. 2023, Romania was Moldova's largest trade partner by exports, buying the most Moldovan products in that period in monetary terms.
