Moldovan fruits were presented for the first time in Greece at Freskon 2023.

This was announced by the Moldova Fruct Association of Fruit Producers and Exporters of Moldova, noting that for the first time a group of its members took part in the Freskon 2023 International Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition, which was held from April 23 to 25 in Thessaloniki. Six producers and exporters of fruits within the framework of the common stand of our country "Moldova - a special taste" presented Moldovan fruits, positioning Moldova as a country with modern orchards and post-harvest infrastructure that can provide high quality fresh fruits. Participation in Freskon 2023 was made possible with the support of the USAID Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project in Moldova, the regional Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) and the Investment Agency. “In the previous Freskon exhibitions we were present only as visitors, this time we are glad to take part as exhibitors. Thanks to the investment we have made this year in the acquisition of a hydro-cooler and a cherry sorting line, we are ready to meet the requirements of importers and make offers for any international market. During the Freskon exhibition, we have already managed to communicate with various importers and saw real interest in our products from the Baltic countries, Germany, Italy, and the Nordic countries,” said Mariana Pislaru, Director of Staragro Group. At the same time, within the framework of the exhibition, its participants have a unique access to the FreshCon Market platform, where manufacturers and exporters can meet with representatives of large supermarket chains to negotiate commercial partnerships. “Each participation in international exhibitions brings additional benefits to our producers and exporters, expanding their horizons, developing the skills and knowledge necessary to advance in the field of innovation and increase the competitiveness of Moldovan products at the international level,” said Iurie Fala, Executive Director of Moldova Fruct. Freskon is one of the most important international events dedicated to fruits and vegetables from the Balkans and Southeast Europe and is the center of events in the fresh fruits and vegetables sector, bringing together producers, international retail groups, as well as exporters and carriers from Southeast Europe. In recent years, Freskon has grown from a regional event to an international event, this time hosting 210 exhibitors from 22 countries including: Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey, UAE, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Egypt, India, Morocco, Israel, Macedonia and etc. // 25.04.2023 — InfoMarket.
