
Moldova, by using the unrealized potential of exports to the European Union, can receive an additional $1.12 billion only by 2026.
This was announced by the EU Delegation to Moldova, referring to the prospects for increasing Moldovan exports to the EU in the next 4 years. “The export potential of Moldova in the EU is 56%. This means plus $1.12 billion only by 2026. The main sectors with the highest unrealized potential for the next 4 years are: engineering, electronics - $164.1 million (estimated dollar value reflecting the estimated export potential until 2026 based on the expected supply and demand growth and relative market access conditions); oilseeds - $158 million; clothing - $127 million; fruits - $101.4 million; alcoholic beverages - $82.6 million; miscellaneous manufactured goods - $79.3 million; cereals (except wheat and rice) - $60.6 million; nuts - $37.1 million; shoes - $35.8 million; glass products - $23.7 million.
