
Export of Moldovan goods to Russia in January-July 2022 decreased by 10.8% to $133.8 million compared to the same period in 2021.
The National Bureau of Statistics reported that, at the same time, the supply of Russian products to Moldova for 7 months in 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased 1.6 times - up to $728.9 million. At the same time, the share of the Russian Federation in the total volume of Moldovan exports decreased over the specified period from 9.54% to 5.09%, and in imports it increased from 11.63% to 14.26%. According to the results of January-July 2022, Russia ranked 6th in the list of the largest partners of Moldova in terms of purchases of Moldovan products (after Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Italy, Germany) in value terms, as well as ranked 2nd in terms of product supplies to RM. Negative trade balance of Moldova with Russia for 7 months in 2022 amounted to $595.1 million, a 2-fold increase compared to the same period in 2021.
