According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of deliveries of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports increased over the specified period from 27.54% to 28.44%. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania in 2020, in comparison with the previous year, decreased by 24.9% - to $ 631.6 million, and its share in the total Moldovan imports decreased from 14.40% to 11.66%. As a result, the positive trade balance of Moldova with Romania in 2020 amounted to $ 75.1 million against the negative trade balance of $ 75.8 million a year earlier. By the end of 2020, Romania was the largest trading partner of Moldova in terms of exports, having purchased the most Moldovan products in the specified period.
