
AmCham Moldova formed a new Board of Directors and elected Alexandru Gozun President of the organization.
According to the American Chamber of Commerce of Moldova (AmCham Moldova), this decision was made at a general meeting of members of the organization. In particular, Stefan Bireu (Lafarge Ciment, a member of Holcim Group), Iuri Cicibaba (Taxaco), Sabina Cerbu (Stratulat Albulescu Attorneys at Law), Levon Khanikyan (Victoriabank) joined the new Board of Directors, Marcela Lefter (Sedera Green, on behalf of Qair), Veronica Malcoci (GRAWE Group), Aliona Stratan (maib), Vasile Tofan (Purcari Wineries), George Teodorescu (Mixbook) and Carmina Vicol (Prime Capital, Monicol). The new Board of Directors was elected for 2023-2025. A new Amcham President was also elected - Alexandru Gozun of PwC Moldova, who replaced Carmina Vicol in this position. The newly elected President of AmCham Moldova reaffirmed the organization's commitment to promoting the priorities of the business community. He stated that AmCham is a reliable partner in relations between the business community and the state and emphasized that, together with the new Board of Directors he will continue efforts to improve the business climate in Moldova, for the benefit of its member companies. During the general meeting of AmCham members, the annual report on the organization's work for 2022 was also presented. Last year, AmCham Moldova efforts were focused on the following areas: taxation, business regulation, digital transformation, manufacturing and trade, labor regulation, environment, financial services, health, etc. AmCham Moldova is a private business nongovernmental organization in Moldova, founded in 2006. Today it is the largest business association in Moldova, bringing together 160 American, international and local companies. The members of the organization represent 34 sectors of the national economy, creating about 30 thousand jobs.
