
Moldovan Government approved a new Regulation of trust service providers, which will allow launching the MobiSign digital service.
In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, approved the new Regulation on activity of qualified trust service providers, which will allow launching the MobiSign service - an electronic identification solution based on mobile applications, an authentication tool in digital and electronic document signing environment. The new Regulation on the activities of qualified trust service providers regulates: the procedure for requesting, issuing, suspending, revoking and renewing the certificate of accreditation; preservation of documents related to the procedure of accreditation and registration of trust service providers; organization of activities of trust service providers, etc. "The benefits of MobiSign will be that users will not have to use physical signatures or other forms of traditional authentication, providing a secure and simple solution for digital authentication. This solution will be particularly useful for the Diaspora and foreign investors who want to access online services and transactions in our country," said Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba. According to him, the Regulation on Trust Service Providers will allow launching the MobiSign service, a mobile application-based electronic identification solution, which is also a tool for digital authentication and electronic document signing. All of this will increase the availability of electronic services available in both the public and private sectors. "We're at the last stage. We are approaching maximum digitalization.
