
Moldova: electronic customs clearance procedure to be available for all customs purposes.
This is provided for by amendments to the government decree on electronic procedures for customs clearance of goods, proposed by the Customs Service for public consultation. The project provides for the possibility of electronic clearance for all customs regimes with economic impact, for the following customs purposes: free zone, duty-free shop, re-export, re-import, destruction and abandonment in favor of the state. The electronic procedure can be used by economic agents who declare their goods on their own or through a customs broker. Currently, electronic procedures are provided only for the customs declaration of the export and import of goods. The proposed amendments will facilitate the simplification of legal trade operations, will reduce the time and costs of the state and business for customs clearance of goods.
