Auditors of the Accounts Chamber recorded a number of violations related to the management of the state property of Moldova located on the territory of Ukraine.

Auditors of the Accounts Chamber recorded a number of violations related to the management of the state property of Moldova located on the territory of Ukraine.

According to the press service of the institution, the auditors examined a number of objects of state property in the course of familiarizing themselves with the situation on the spot, which took place on July 1-3. According to the results of the inspection, it turned out that most of the objects are in a damaged condition, some are illegally occupied or property proceedings are underway in the courts. In some cases, the objects were even difficult to identify due to the destroyed and demolished buildings. Thus, in Odessa, the auditors stated the deplorable state of the building of the Moldovan consulate, which is under the jurisdiction of the MFAEI, as well as the building of the sanatorium "Moldova", while the ownership of the sanatorium has not been determined. The auditors found out that in the village of Zatoka, the recreation center "Bugaz" (located on the balance sheet of the State University of Moldova) is used by unidentified persons, and the former recreation center "Polytech" - now called "Admiral" - after the major repairs carried out by the tenant, was recognized by the local authorities as private property. Recreation center "Selektsiya" (is on the balance of the Research Institute of Field Crops Selecția) in 2002 was leased to a citizen of Ukraine for a 10-year period, but the tenant did not fulfill the terms of the contract and, without the consent of the institute, demolished 36 wooden houses, having built a capital 2- storey building. The property of the recreation center "Dream", which was under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice, was almost completely lost. The department also did not ensure the registration in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine of all buildings of the recreation center Brănești and did not carry out an inventory of this object in 2018-2019. The lack of control over this property eventually led to the unauthorized demolition of the recreation center buildings. The auditors also checked the condition of several state property objects located in Sergeevka. Several recreation centers are functioning, but they require certain investments: Medic-2 (on the balance of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy named after N. Testemitanu), Parus (on the balance of Urbanproiect), Avtomobilist (on the balance of the State Administration of Roads), “Svyazist” (Posta Moldovei), while the ownership rights to some objects raise questions. The Sergeevka Children's Rehabilitation Center and the Victoria Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled and Pensioners, which are on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Health, are fully operational. In the village of Primorsk, the recreation center "Dacia" does not work (it is on the balance sheet of the State University), since the situation with property rights to it has not been clarified. The documentary visit to Ukraine is part of the program of the Accounts Board and was carried out at the request of the country's parliament. The results of the audit will be reviewed in detail during a future performance audit by the Accounts Chamber. // 05.07.2021 — InfoMarket
