The term for the import of oil products through the Transnistrian region will be extended until December 31.
The corresponding resolution was approved by the government at a meeting on Wednesday. In particular, amendments were made to the government decree "On some aspects of the import of petroleum products across the eastern border", which extended for another six months the period for the import of petroleum products through the checkpoint "Novosavitskaya-Cuciurgan" established earlier until June 30, 2021, ensuring the possibility of their customs clearance at the customs post "Bender 2". As a reminder, since August 2016, Ukraine has suspended the supply of oil products to the Transnistrian region by rail through the checkpoints "Colbasna-Slobodca" and "Novosavitskaya-Cuciurgan" on the Transnistrian section of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. The movement of cargo with fuel was redirected through the Ocnita checkpoint. Then the goods were delivered to the railway stations "Ribnita" and "Bender 2". After discussions with the Ukrainian authorities and reaching agreements, as well as on the basis of requests from fuel importers, the Cabinet of Ministers of Moldova on November 9, 2016 allowed companies to re-import oil products through the Transnistrian region, through the Bender-2 customs post, carrying out customs clearance at Novosavitskaya- Cuciurgan ", until an effective joint control mechanism is provided. This decision was taken on a temporary basis until December 31, 2016, but subsequently this period was extended every six months.//16.06.2021 — InfoMarket.
