In Moldova, milk production has increased by 1.7 times over the past year - from 29 thousand tons in 2023 to 49.7 thousand tons in 2024.
This was reported by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry Iurie Scripnic, noting that the growth of the indicator was facilitated by the policies promoted by the agricultural department for the development of the livestock sector, in particular, the payment of subsidies to farmers per liter of milk. This led to the fact that agricultural producers began to keep more highly productive dairy breeds of cows on farms, which give more milk. As previously reported, in Moldova, since January 20, applications have been accepted for the IV competition of direct payments in the livestock sector, intended for producers of cow, sheep and goat milk. Payments from the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development will be provided per kilogram of milk produced for products delivered from July 1 to December 31, 2024. Applications can be submitted to the territorial offices of the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) until March 7. // 04.02.2025 — InfoMarket
