The Digital National Farmers Registry was presented in Moldova.
It was created with the support of UNDP in Moldova and presented at the Ministry of Agriculture. According to the agricultural department, during the demonstration session the functionality of the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) modules was highlighted. The Digital National Farmers Registry (DNFR) is an important component of IACS, the system implemented and required by the European Union to manage and control payments to farmers under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). To date, 10 thousand landowners have been successfully registered in the system in our country. This summer, with support from UNDP, an additional 10,000 people will be included in the system through an integrated approach to house-to-house data collection. “Without this registry and without an accurate record of land, it would be impossible to access European funding in the future. The Farmers Registry is necessary to develop our agriculture and ensure that farmers receive the necessary resources,” said Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea. // 04.07.2024 - InfoMarket.
