In Moldova has been created the Association of Vegetable Producers of Moldova.
The decision to create it was made by the country's vegetable growers at the founding general meeting, which was attended by almost 80 industry representatives from different parts of the country. During the meeting, they approved the charter of the Association of Vegetable Producers of Moldova, the main directions of its activities, determined the amount of participants’ contributions and the criteria for their selection of participants, elected an Administrative Council of 15 people, developed the first resolution, which provided recommendations for improving the agricultural policy of supporting the industry, including subsidy policies. This kind of roadmap for the association to represent the interests of its members will be transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. The general meeting to establish the Association of Vegetable Producers of Moldova concluded a series of public events organized by the National Federation of Agricultural Producers of Moldova as part of the national campaign to mobilize vegetable producers, supported by the USAID Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project of Moldova. As noted in the National Federation of Agricultural Producers of Moldova, the creation of the Association of Vegetable Producers of Moldova represents an important step for the country's vegetable growing, since producers have joined forces within the framework of the national association, which will represent the interests of vegetable producers before local, central and national authorities, contribute to the improvement of the legislative framework and development of a favorable environment for transforming the vegetable business, attracting international programs and sources of financing to facilitate access to modern technologies, exchange best practices, etc.// 18.03.2024 — InfoMarket.
