The solution was proposed on Friday at a meeting attended by protesting farmers and Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The initiative provides for loans of up to 500 thousand lei to replenish working capital under a 90 percent state guarantee, for an initial period of 18 months, with a 6-month grace period at 7% per annum, which will be paid by the state. “ODA guarantees 90%. Go buy diesel fuel and fertilizers to get started. And the interest is subsidized by AIPA,” the minister said. Vladimir Bolea assured that this financing mechanism will be available from Monday or Tuesday, February 19 or 20.
