Applications for advance subsidies for land reclamation and soil protection investment projects are accepted from March 10 to April 21.

According to the order of the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre, landowners can receive state support for the following activities: prevention and control of soil erosion; chemical improvement of soils; preservation and improvement of soil fertility. The application for the advance subsidy must be submitted by the applicant to the Division/Territorial Service of the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agricultural in the district where the applicant will make the investment. Funding may be obtained by legal entities/individuals or first level administrative-territorial units owning, holding or using the land for the period of project implementation and 5 years after implementation of the investment, registered in the public register where the measures for preservation and improvement of soil fertility of agricultural land are applied. The total cost of an eligible investment project is up to 1 million lei, and the period of implementation - up to 5 years. The beneficiary must contribute at least 20% of the total cost of the investment project, and the budget can cover up to 80% of the project cost. Advance subsidies will be provided in two tranches (70% and 30%).
