
Export of Moldovan wine products in 2022 amounted to $154.8 million, decreasing in monetary terms by 8.7% compared to 2021
According to the National Bureau of Vine and Wine, in particular, bottled "still" wines, in 2022 Moldova supplied about 37 million liters (-11.4%) for $76.8 million (-8%), or about 49.3 million bottles of 0.75 liters at an average price of $1.56 per bottle (+3.9%). Bulk wine sold 54.4 million liters (-17.9%) for $36.2 million (-7.3%) at an average price of $0.67 per liter (+12.9%). Sparkling wines (champagne) in 2022 were exported 3 million liters (-47.3%) for $6.8 million (-59.2%), or about 4 million bottles of 0.75 liters at an average price of $1.71 per bottle (-3.7%). At the same time, 1.7 million liters (-20.3%) of liqueur wines were exported in 2022 for $4.3 million (-13.2%), or about 2.3 million bottles of 0.75 liters each at an average price of $1.84 per bottle (+8.9%). Deliveries of liqueur wines in bulk amounted to 1.5 million liters (+20.1%) for $1.5 million (+37.1%) at an average price of $1.05 per liter (+14.2%). Herewith, in 2022, Moldova exported 1.6 million liters of bottled divin and brandy (-1%) for $14.9 million (-10.8%), or 3.3 million bottles of 0.5 liters average price of $4.49 per bottle (-9.9%). Meanwhile, deliveries of divin and brandy in bulk abroad amounted to 5 million liters (+83.8%) for $14.3 million (+31.7%) at an average price of $2.9 per liter (-28.4%). In general, in physical terms, the export of Moldovan wine products in 2022 decreased by 14.2% - to 104.1 million liters, while from the TOP-10 countries, the decline in supplies to Belarus amounted to 14.2%, to Georgia - 8.3%, to the Czech Republic - 20.8%, to the UK - 27.6%, to Poland - 17.3%, to Russia - 46.7%, to China - 42.7%, to the USA - 5%, to other countries - by 9.2%. At the same time, deliveries to Romania increased by 1.7% and to Ukraine - by 10.1%. Herewith, the export of Moldovan wine products in monetary terms decreased by 8.7% - to $154.8 million. Meanwhile, from the TOP-10 countries, the decline in supplies in value terms to Belarus amounted to 12%, to Russia - 44%, to Poland - 14.6%, to Georgia - 6.6%, to the Czech Republic - 18.5%, in China - 28.3%, to the UK -26.7%, to the USA -9.4%, to other countries - 2.6%. Bottled wines were exported in 2022 to 65 countries around the world. At the same time, the share of countries from the TOP-10 accounted for 74.4% of the total volume of their exports by Moldova. The largest volumes of bottled Moldovan wines in 2022 in physical terms were purchased by: Romania - 8.3 million liters (+8.1% compared to 2021), Poland - 5 million liters (-11.4%), Czech Republic - 4, 6 mln l (-16.3%), Russia - 4.1 mln l (-48.9%), China - 2.1 mln l (-30.9%), Canada - 1.6 mln l (+ 7.2%), Ukraine - 1.5 million liters (-41.3%), Turkey - 1.4 million liters (-5.1%), USA - 1.3 million liters (-7.3%) , the Netherlands - 1.2 million liters (+60%). In value terms, the countries from the TOP-10 accounted for 77.3% of the total export volume of bottled wines in monetary terms, and the TOP-10 included, in particular: Romania - $24.9 million (+6.9%), Poland - $8.7 million (-12.3%), Czech Republic - $7.6 million (-16%), Russia - $7.3 million (-49.2%), China - $5.7 million (-24.4%), USA - $3.2 million (14%), Turkey - $2.8 million (-0.2%), Ukraine - $2.7 million (-41.5%), Canada - $2.6 million (+ 15.9%), the Netherlands - $2.5 million (+32.4%). The TOP-10 in terms of its purchases in physical terms in 2022 included: Belarus - 29.4 million liters (-10.6%), Georgia - 13.5 million liters (-8.2%), Great Britain - 4.7 mln l (-31.8%), Romania - 2.1 mln l (-17.7%), Czech Republic - 1.7 mln l (-31.1%), France - 1.1 mln l ( +431.9%), Poland - 0.6 mln l (-48%), Germany - 0.6 mln l (+139.8%), Lithuania - 0.6 mln l (-39.3%), Ukraine - 0.4 mln l (-77.9%).
