Moldova launches the first digital platform for training representatives of the agricultural sector - https://elearning.ansa.gov.md.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the platform was launched by the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) in partnership with the USAID Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity Project in Moldova. The platform aims to facilitate access to knowledge for agribusinesses and provide them the opportunity to take specialized courses, as provided by national legislation, and receive certificates confirming their new knowledge. The theme of the first remote learning course is "Sustainable use of phytosanitary products" and includes 13 thematic modules and 20 instructional videos. The course is designed for agricultural producers, importers and distributors of phytosanitary products and aims to reduce risks and harmful effects of such products on human health and the environment. It is worth noting that the obligation to undergo training in this area is stipulated by the Requirements for the sustainable use of phytosanitary products and is in line with EU practices regarding the use of pesticides. After the training, agricultural producers will be able to make adjustments to their pesticide use procedures and control the content of agrochemical residues in agricultural products sold on the domestic market and exported. // 17.02.2023 - InfoMarket
