Poland plans to grant Moldova a 100 million euros credit, which will be mostly used for the country's agricultural sector.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, this was announced by Polish ambassador to Moldova Tomasz Kobzdej at the meeting with the head of the ministry Vladimir Bolea. The sides also discussed the progress of negotiations on the signing of an agreement that would provide our country with a preferential loan of 100 million euros. However, no details have been reported so far. The only thing it is said is that Vladimir Bolea expressed conviction that the financial assistance will help enhance the competitiveness of the Moldovan agriculture and will boost the dynamics of the agricultural sector's share in the national GDP. The meeting was held in the context of the second LEADER conference, which took place in Chisinau last week. During the event, the Ministry of Agriculture and the LEADER network signed a memorandum of cooperation. The national LEADER program was launched last summer and is financed by the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development. It is worth mentioning that Moldova is the first country of the Eastern Partnership, which joined the LEADER program. The second LEADER conference lasted 2 days and was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova, in partnership with the National LEADER Network and Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova, with the support of the European Union within the EU4Moldova: Local Communities program. More than 400 representatives of state institutions and NGOs from Moldova and Europe took part in the conference. // 11.10.2022 – InfoMarket
