A Guide for farmers willing to receive up to 1 million lei in advance subsidies for land improvement projects has been published in Moldova.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, particularly, applicants for advance subsidies, who want to realize land reclamation investments, can benefit from a guide, which will explain to applicants - individuals/legal entities or first level local public administration authorities the conditions for obtaining subsidies, the procedure for applying and the documents required for these purposes. The maximum amount of subsidizing measures reflected in the Guide is 1 million lei, and they are designed for the following activities: prevention and control of soil erosion (wind and water) on agricultural lands subject to surface and deep erosion; chemical improvement of soils of agricultural lands with saline-solonetzic soils (half-hydromorphic and hydromorphic); conservation and improvement of soil fertility of agricultural lands. All the information about applying for this financial support can be found in a well-structured and useful Guide for grant recipients. As noted by the Ministry of Agriculture, the application process involves several steps, and applicants need explanations to properly apply and complete the dossier. This way, the application process will be more accessible to have more dossiers approved. The agriculture department emphasizes that soil conservation needs are best seen and known at the grassroots level, among farmers and rural communities. Therefore, increasing farmers' access to available financial resources will increase the effectiveness of applying soil erosion control and soil conservation measures as part of agricultural techniques. Thus, Moldovan agrarians will get closer to sustainable soil management. The Guide and the detailed procedure for granting advance subsidies to finance land improvement investment projects are available at aipa.gov.md. // 12.09.2022 - InfoMarket.
