
In 2022, advance subsidies will be provided from the state budget for the implementation of land improvement investment projects.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, subsidies were provided to implement certain goals of the Land Improvement Program for Sustainable Soil Management for 2021-2025 and its Action Plan for 2021-2023. In particular, subsidies will be provided for measures to prevent and combat soil erosion, for chemical soil reclamation and measures to preserve and improve soil fertility. According to the Regulation on Conditions and Procedure for Granting Advance Subsidies for Land Reclamation Investment Projects for implementation of this program, advance subsidies may be provided to legal entities or individuals owning land (owned, possessed or used) for the period of project implementation and 5 years after implementation of the investment. The total cost of the eligible project should not exceed 1 million lei, and the period of implementation - up to 5 years. The beneficiary of the subsidy should contribute at least 20% of the total cost of the investment project, and the budget may cover up to 80% of the project cost. Advance subsidies will be given in two tranches: the first in the amount of 70% of the subsidy and the second in the amount of 30%.
