Moldova will be able to increase the supply of fruits and vegetables to the countries of the Central European Free Trade Association thanks to the facilitation of trade in these products between these states.
According to the National Food Safety Agency of Moldova, in particular, from 4 to 6 August, ANSA representatives participated in a regional meeting on the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA), which discussed the implementation of the decision to facilitate trade in fruits and vegetables. The event took place in the city of Budva in Montenegro. The regional meeting was aimed at continuing technical discussions on the implementation of the Decision on the Facilitation of Trade in Fruits and Vegetables, in particular in the context of identifying the most appropriate risk-based approaches in regulating free trade between CEFTA countries when importing to border inspection posts, as well as for clarification of the possibilities of procedures for re-export of fruits and vegetables. As noted by ANSA, the results of discussions and joint technical agreements will help in the future implementation of the Decision on the facilitation of trade in fruits and vegetables this year and also in the future.
