For the first time Moldova received permission to export dairy products to the EU countries.
This was reported by the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), noting that the European Commission informed about the decision on the possibility of exporting dairy products produced in Moldova to the EU. The National Food Safety Agency's Director General Vladislav Cotici said that based on the guarantees provided by the National Food Safety Agency and as a result of effective cooperation with the competent services of the European Commission, the European Union decided to include Moldova in Appendix N1 of Regulation 605/2010, which establishes veterinary and health requirements, as well as conditions veterinary certification for the supply to the EU of raw milk and dairy products intended for human consumption. As noted in the National Food Safety Agency, the European Commission recently approved a national plan for monitoring residues for cow's milk in Moldova and amended the annex to the European Commission Decision 163/2011. Thus, Moldova has a national plan for monitoring milk residues, a target to be met in case of export / transit of dairy products to the EU. “Based on the conditions of the pandemic situation, the European Commission will apply the principle of preliminary listing of companies for the export of Moldovan dairy products at the suggestion of the National Food Safety Agency and on the basis of the guarantees provided by it. After completion of the listing procedure and approval of the list of companies by the European Commission and its publication on the DG SANTE website, the export can already be carried out, ” Vladislav Cotici specified.// 02.06.2021 — InfoMarket
