Three economic agents will receive 3133 tons of wheat from the state reserve, released to refresh grain reserves.

According to the Agency for Material Reserves, applications from 4 economic agents were submitted by May 21 within the framework of the second stage of the competition for the selection of the final beneficiaries of food wheat released from the state reserve for refreshment. After studying all the dossiers, the mixed commission, which included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the National Anti-Corruption Center and other structures, decided to allocate 3133 tons of food wheat to three economic agents: Ceresol Prim - 1040 tons (3500 tons were requested), KRISS-Grup - 1193 tons ( requested 4000 tons), Floreni - 900 tons (requested 5000 tons). At the same time, the first two companies are from the milling industry, and the third is from the livestock sector. The commission did not approve the application of the Distileria Bulboaca, which asked 2500 tons of milling wheat. The winners of the competition are invited to sign contracts within 3 working days from the date of publication of the competition results. Otherwise, the economic agent will be disqualified, and the volume of wheat provided for will be redistributed among other companies. After signing the contract, the recipient of the wheat, within 10 working days, is obliged to provide a bank or financial guarantee, the amount of which will ensure the replenishment of the amount of wheat taken from the warehouses at the price set by the commission. Let us recall that the government of Moldova decided to allocate from the state reserve in general 20.7 thousand tons of food wheat of the 2017 harvest in order to refresh grain reserves and deliveries to the domestic market. Food wheat from the state reserve, released for these purposes, is provided to economic agents producing bread, bakery and flour products, as well as enterprises from the livestock sector. In the absence of applications from these categories of companies, other categories of economic agents will also be able to participate in the procedure for refreshing reserves or receiving grain by borrowing. The return of the food wheat, released from state reserves, must be carried out from the harvest of the current year, in the same quantity and of the same quality, before October 1, 2021. // 28.05.2021 - InfoMarket.
