The state-owned enterprise Moldova Railways (CFM) has completed an important stage in the construction of the railway line between Prut 2 and Falciu

As noted in the CFM statement, in particular, the state-owned enterprise Moldova Railways has completed one of the important stages in the construction of the railway line between Prut 2 and Falciu, namely the work on connecting the broad-gauge railway to the bridge in the area of Falciu station (Romania). Railway crews installed more than 3,000 sleepers (2,000 m of railway track). Work is currently continuing on the transition to European gauge, which will allow for closer integration into the European railway network. According to the CFM Administration, the restoration of infrastructure and the resumption of train traffic on the Cantemir (Moldova) – Falciu (Romania) section will transform this strategic transit route for Moldovan goods, contributing to the diversification and increased security of export routes. // 13.11.2025 – InfoMarket.
