In 2025, the National Health Insurance Company accumulated revenues of 17 billion 494 million lei (+9.8% compared to 2024) in mandatory health insurance funds

As noted in its report, the accumulated funds in the mandatory health insurance funds in 2025 increased by 1.5 billion lei (+9.8%) compared to 2024. The main source of income was interest deductions from salaries and other remuneration - more than 9.4 billion lei, followed by transfers from the state budget – about 7.3 billion lei. Contributions to mandatory health insurance in a fixed amount reached almost 364 million, and other revenues exceeded 310 million lei. At the same time, expenditures from mandatory health insurance funds last year amounted to about 17 billion 397 million lei, which is over 1.5 billion more than in 2024. Most of this amount—about 17.1 billion lei—was transferred to contracted healthcare providers and pharmacies. The amount transferred in 2025 for healthcare services rendered is approximately 1.5 billion lei higher than in 2024. // 06.01.2026 — InfoMarket
