Moldova’s electricity suppliers have asked the National Energy Regulatory Authority to increase electricity prices for end consumers by 7-8%
As noted in materials published by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), Premier Energy, which serves consumers in central and southern Moldova, has asked ANRE to raise electricity prices for household consumers whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage distribution networks (0.4 kW) by 6.7% - from 3.59 to 3.83 lei per 1 kW/h, while FEE Nord, which serves consumers in the north of the country, is asking for an 8% increase in electricity prices for the same category of household consumers - from 4 to 4.32 lei per 1 kW/h. At the same time, Premier Energy cited the following factors as the basis for its request to adjust regulated electricity prices estimated purchase prices for electricity according to the forecast presented by the state-owned company Energocom; the current price of electricity supplied by the Central Electricity Supplier; the current tariff for electricity transmission services provided by Moldelectrica; the current tariffs for electricity distribution services; the basic costs of electricity supply activities at approved regulated prices. Earlier, Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu noted that electricity tariffs in Moldova may increase due to rising prices on the regional market amid Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which have caused the neighboring country to experience an electricity shortage and forced it to purchase additional volumes on the regional market. Earlier it was reported that electricity tariffs for Premier Energy and FEE Nord consumers in Moldova had decreased from August 1, 2025. Thus, the cost of electricity for Premier Energy household consumers whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage distribution networks (0.4 kW) was reduced by 12.5% - from 4.1 to 3.59 lei per 1 kW/h, while for FEE Nord consumers, the cost of electricity was reduced by 14.6% from 4.68 to 4 lei per 1 kWh. // 16.02.2026 — InfoMarket
