The average purchase price of gas for Moldova in the 2025-2026 gas year is forecast at €410 per 1,000 cubic meters – Energocom
The state-owned company reported this, noting that for the period from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, it has contracted approximately 90.9% of the projected natural gas consumption volume with guaranteed supplies, which amounts to 7,448,218 MWh (equivalent to approximately 700 million cubic meters). Purchases were made mainly at an indexed price using TTF front month (TTFFM) quotes published by Argus, one of the world's most authoritative independent energy analysis and data companies, compared to BRM (Romanian Commodity Exchange) quotes. Consequently, the exact purchase price for each month will be known on the last day of the month preceding the month of delivery. Based on the bids received at the auctions held and the TTFFM quotes available on September 15, 2025, the average purchase price for gas in the 2025-2026 gas year is projected to be around €38.5/MWh (€410/1000 m³), including the cost of transportation to the virtual trading point in Moldova. Energocom notes that purchases have been made since May, on a monthly basis, through 54 auction rounds in which 13 companies from Switzerland, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, and the Netherlands participated. Twenty-six rounds have been successfully completed. “Given that the purchase price of gas represents a significant share in the formation of the final tariff for supply to consumers, Energocom continues to strive to identify and apply the most effective procurement solutions to ensure competitive prices for Moldova in line with regional trends,” the state-owned company said in a statement. // 16.09.2025 — InfoMarket
