Maib supports a new edition of Tekwill Junior Ambassadors – the competition that shapes the future leaders of the IT industry in Moldova

Maib, as an Ambassador Partner of the National Program “Tekwill in Every School”, announces the launch of a new edition of the Tekwill Junior Ambassadors (TJA) competition – an initiative that identifies, trains, and promotes the most talented young technology enthusiasts from across the country..

As an Ambassador Partner, maib continues to support the development of digital skills among young people and contributes to preparing the future leaders of the IT industry. The Bank supports the transformation of ideas into projects with real impact, thereby reaffirming its strategic commitment to education, innovation, and community development.

Doina Fetco, Marketing Director of maib, states:
“Innovation is one of our core values. That is why we support Tekwill Junior Ambassadors – because today’s talented and curious youth become tomorrow’s IT leaders and innovators. We do not only provide resources and mentorship, but we invest in their ideas and creativity, turning challenges into innovative solutions. We are proud to stand alongside the Tekwill community and contribute to the development of a strong and sustainable digital community”.

Tekwill Junior Ambassadors operates as a collaborative ecosystem between schools, teachers, mentors, and the private sector. Young people aged 13 to 19 develop digital skills, critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and teamwork abilities by participating in categories such as Programming, Web Development, Graphic Design, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Applications, Video Storytelling, Entrepreneurship, Public Speaking, and Digital Education.

This year, we are also launching a challenge dedicated to the maib junior card, encouraging students to explore financial responsibility in a creative and modern way.
In previous editions, Tekwill Junior Ambassadors has engaged over 6,700 students and 750 teachers, generating more than 6,000 digital projects and putting Moldova on the global innovation map, with 15 winners in international competitions.

Ana Chirița, Director of Strategic Projects, ATIC, notes:
“The results of Tekwill Junior Ambassadors are evident: we have become global winners twice in Artificial Intelligence competitions, surpassing countries such as China, Singapore, and the USA. Our students return with awards and top places in international mobile application contests in South Korea, and more recently, they are representing us in the United States as well. These achievements confirm the value of the competition and the importance of investing in the development of talented young people in Moldova.”

The competition is part of a broad series of educational initiatives supported by maib, through its corporate social responsibility projects, such as STEAM Challenge, ABC of Equality, the “Economic and Entrepreneurial Education in Model Schools” project, partnerships with higher education institutions, and programs dedicated to developing the financial and digital skills of the new generation.
