A test run of the connection between the railway station and the airport was conducted in the capital of Moldova, with the travel time being approximately 15 minutes

This was announced by the state-owned enterprise Moldova Railways and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, noting that on April 14, Moldova Railways, Chisinau Airport, and the National Road Administration tested the special Chisinau-Revaca-Airport route as part of an initiative aimed at optimizing passenger access to the Chisinau Airport and simplifying transportation links. During the test, the Kyiv-Chisinau train delivered passengers to the Revaca station, located near the airport, from where they were picked up by special buses operating on a special direct route to the airport and taken directly to the terminal. Travel time from the Chisinau railway station to the capital's airport was approximately 15 minutes. This comprehensive solution aims to reduce travel times, eliminate urban congestion, and improve passenger comfort, offering an effective alternative for those traveling to the airport. The testing was conducted in the presence of Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, as well as representatives of the Moldovan Railways, the Chisinau International Airport, and the National Road Administration. The test results and passenger feedback will form the basis for a decision on the possible introduction of this route on a permanent basis. Simultaneously, solutions for developing similar connections and more efficient use of the national rail infrastructure are being analyzed. // 14.04.2026 – InfoMarket.
