Government redistributed and increased the size of the road fund for 2024 by 380 million lei - up to 2 billion 015.9 million lei

Under the approved decision, the size of the funds for the current maintenance of roads in the summer period was increased by almost 70 million lei and in the winter period by 74.6 million lei, additional 12.2 million lei were allocated for periodic maintenance works, 150 thousand lei were allocated for the repair of roads and bridges and 70 million lei for the overhaul of the road infrastructure, another 10 million lei for the design and assessment of roads and the purchase of sections. Thus, the size of the road fund has been increased from 1 billion 635.9 million to 2 billion 015.9 million lei. Also, another 150 million lei is earmarked for the repair of 150 km of roads of G category, which need urgent intervention. The explanatory note to the project says that this money will cover the initial costs of tenders and contracts, and the projects are planned to be completed within 2 years. // 29.08.2024 – InfoMarket
