The Government has amended the Regulations on Administrative Procedures Related to Airport Ground Handling Companies.

The purpose of the amendments is to update the certification of companies providing services in airport restricted security areas. In particular, it's about the authorization of companies providing services necessary for the takeoff and landing of aircraft at the airport in order to guarantee air navigation security. As Minister of Economy Andrei Spinu noted during a government meeting, certification of some companies was carried out in 2006 and today does not meet the requirements and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The amendments also provide that companies will receive a certificate for an indefinite period and it will be issued through the Automated Information System for Management and Issuance of Permits (SIA GEAP). // 30.08.2023 — InfoMarket
