Moldova will receive a grant of 3 million euros for the organization of air traffic.
Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija and a representative of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) signed an Agreement on the implementation in our country of the Voluntary Solidarity Fund in the field of European air traffic control. The fund will assist MoldATSA SE and be used to cover staff and training costs, as well as any other costs necessary to ensure the operational readiness and continuity of air navigation services processes. It should be noted that the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation was established in 1960 with the aim of developing a pan-European air traffic management system within the framework of the “Single European Sky” project. The organization coordinates and plans air traffic control over a significant part of Europe, for which a system of functional blocks of European airspace is being created. This includes working with national authorities, air navigation service providers, airports and other organizations. EUROCONTROL activities include all air navigation services operations: strategic and tactical traffic control, air traffic controller training, regional airspace management. // 02.05.2023 — InfoMarket
