The main objectives of the Strategy are: ensuring planning of safe and quality infrastructure, development of mobility of people and goods in comfortable and safe conditions, increasing the access of people with disabilities to the transport system, accelerating the digitization of transport systems, transition to environmentally friendly transport models. The program will be implemented at the expense of budget sources, as well as at the expense of the development partners. In addition, according to Lilia Dabija, the Ministry is finalizing the amendments to the Commercial Maritime Navigation Code, to the Highway Code, to the Law on the Road Fund as well as to the Law on Road Traffic Safety and the Law on Road Infrastructure. Regarding road infrastructure, the authorities have already negotiated and signed agreements with external partners worth over 600 million euros, which will be allocated for the development of road infrastructure in the country.
