According to the National Health Insurance Company, 168,000 people received reimbursable medicines and medical devices in June. Approximately 94% of the total amount, or 98 million lei, was spent on reimbursable medicines, with the largest share going to drugs for the treatment of circulatory system diseases (119,000 patients received medicines in this category worth 48 million lei). The average cost of reimbursed drugs per patient was 621 lei. The most expensive treatment with compensation in June was registered for skin and subcutaneous tissue diseases, where the average cost exceeded 1,216 lei per patient. As for reimbursable medical devices, they were used by approximately 23,000 people, with 6.5 million lei allocated for this purpose.
