Vulnerable households, including Ukrainian refugees under temporary protection, will receive one-time financial assistance

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, a one-time payment during the cold season will be provided to vulnerable households within the framework of Moldova's partnership with People in Need and EU financial assistance. The beneficiaries are applicants and potential beneficiaries of the “Personal Assistance” service, as well as Ukrainian refugees with temporary protection status, registered in the “Energy Vulnerability” information system. The aid will be distributed until March 21 in two ways: people with disabilities who cannot move will have the money delivered to their homes, while others can receive the money in the country's post offices upon presentation of an ID card. The Ministry warned that those selected to receive financial assistance will receive a standard sms-message to their phone, which will indicate the source of funding, the method and timing of the money, the requirements for issuance and the phone number of the Ministry's green line. The total budget of the support program is 700 thousand euros, this amount will be distributed in the form of financial compensation by the end of March. // 28.02.2025 - InfoMarket
