The Ministry of Education and Research awarded 39 students who won medals at international Olympiads, as well as 42 teachers

The awards were presented during a gala evening dedicated to the winners of international Olympiads. In 2024, the Ministry of Education and Science delegated Moldovan students to participate in 16 European, Balkan and international Olympiads and competitions held in Georgia, Egypt, USA, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, North Macedonia. In addition, Moldova hosted the 8th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics, which was attended by students and teachers from 26 countries of the European continent. In 2024 National Olympic teams in Mathematics, Informatics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Natural Science, English, Robotics, Science and Technology won 52 prizes, including 2 gold medals in team competition, 7 individual silver medals, 23 individual bronze medals, 19 individual encouraging mentions and another 1 encouraging mention in team competition.
