Students in grades 5-6 from 40 schools in Moldova will use the innovative Langly app to learn English

This is provided for by the Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of a pilot project to use the Langly educational platform in English lessons. The document was signed on November 29 by the Ministry of Education, Langly Oxford English and the Future Technologies (FTA) project. As part of the program, 200 teachers in the country, including in model schools, will use the Langly platform to teach English in grades 5 and 6, providing a modern learning tool for 5,000 students. As noted by the head of the Ministry of Education and Research Dan Perciun, knowledge of English is very important for Moldova - it allows school graduates to communicate with the whole world, travel, work, communicate with people from other countries, and also increases their competitiveness, both in terms of education and in terms of employment opportunities in the future. Doina Nistor, Director of the Future Technologies project, noted that through such programs, the project provides new opportunities for education in Moldova, which involve innovation and the use of modern technologies. Langly is an Oxford-certified platform based on artificial intelligence (AI), which ensures personalization of educational content, monitoring of student progress and supporting students through interactive and innovative methods. Teacher training is planned for the next 4 weeks, and starting from the second semester, students will study English using the new method. It is worth noting that the initiative is part of the program of the Ministry of Education and Research for the modernization of education in Moldova. It is supported by Langly Oxford English and the Future Technologies (FTA) project, which is funded by USAID, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The National Center for Digital Innovation in Education “Class of the Future” (Clasa Viitorului) will be responsible for the implementation of the program. // 29.11.2024 — InfoMarket
