According to the National Bureau of Statistics, it increased by 10.9% compared to the first quarter of 2020, but decreased by 4.4% compared to the fourth quarter of 2020. In real terms, taking into account the growth of inflation, the average wage increased by 10% compared to the first quarter of 2020. It should be noted that in January-March 2021, the average salary in the public sector amounted to 7463 lei (+ 5.3% compared to the same period in 2021), and in the real sector of the economy - 8839 lei (+ 12.8%). The highest salaries in the first quarter of 2021 were received by workers in the ICT sector - 19 914.5 lei (+ 12% compared to the same period in 2020), in the financial and insurance industry - 15 428.9 lei (+12.4 %), as well as at enterprises for the production and supply of electricity, gas, water, air conditioning - 12243 lei (+ 3.6%). In these areas, salaries covered the average salary in the country at 235.2%, 182.2% and, accordingly, 144.6%. The lowest salaries remain in agriculture, forestry and fishing - 4835.7 lei (-0.1%), in the field of tourist accommodation and catering - 5105 lei (-0.9%), as well as in the arts, recreation and entertainment - 5908.4 lei (+ 5.7%). In these areas, wages were lower than the average in the economy, by 42.9%, by 39.7% and, accordingly, by 30.2%. Average salary of employees in the sphere of administrative services and auxiliary activities - 6516.4 lei (+ 7.9%); in education - 7149.2 lei (+ 4.7%); in the field of real estate transactions - 6888.4 lei (+ 9.2%); in the field of transport and storage services - 6655.1 lei (-0.4%); in the sphere of trade, repair of cars and motorcycles - 7462.6 lei (+ 4.8%); in the construction industry - 7211.5 lei (+ 0.9%); in the field of public administration and defense, compulsory social insurance - 9876.3 lei (+ 5.8%); in the field of professional, scientific and technical activities - 10 791.1 lei (+ 8.4%). In the industrial sector, wages averaged 7655 lei (+ 4.6%), including in the extractive industry - 6548.4 lei (+ 1.7%), in the processing industry - 7106.2 lei (+4.6%), at the enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste treatment and treatment and recovery works - 7618.9 lei (+ 7.2%), at enterprises for the production and supply of electricity, gas, water, air conditioning - 12 243 lei (+ 3.6%). // 01.06.2021 – InfoMarket
