Moldova launches the national coronavirus vaccination campaign on March 2.
The first to receive the vaccine are the medical workers of the T. Mosneaga Republican Clinical Hospital. According to the plans of the Ministry of Health, vaccination will take place in three stages. Doctors of intensive care units and COVID will be the first to receive the vaccine, later - all other health workers. At the second stage, it is planned to vaccinate people over 60 years old, people with chronic diseases, teachers, law enforcement officers, penitentiary institutions, the military - a total of about 733 thousand people. At the third stage, the rest of the population will be vaccinated; it will last until the formation of herd immunity against COVID-19. It is planned that the monitoring of the vaccination process will be carried out through the platform and the vaccine registry, and the data will be transferred to the National Agency of Public Health and the Ministry of Health. Let us remind that last weekend a batch of AstraZeneca vaccines (manufacturer - South Korea) was delivered to Moldova, which were provided by the Romanian government - 21.6 thousand doses out of the planned 200 thousand doses. The Ministry of Health said that 10.8 thousand doses of the vaccine will go to the regional public health centers, from where they will be distributed to the vaccination centers. About 1.8 thousand doses will be delivered to medical institutions in the Transnistrian region. // 02.03.2021 - InfoMarket.
