Medicines for treating Covid-19 or recovering citizens who have had the virus are included in the list of compensated medicines.

On Friday, December 18, amendments to the order of the Ministry of Health on medicines reimbursed from the compulsory health insurance funds took effect. It is stipulated that drugs intended for the treatment of patients who have been diagnosed with coronavirus, or intended for rehabilitation treatment after Covid-19, are included in the list of compensated drugs. This measure is being introduced for a while, until the incidence of COVID-19 in Moldova decreases. As the Ministry of Health clarifies, thus, those infected with coronavirus, both insured and uninsured, which are treated at home, will be able to receive medicines with compensation for their cost through the compulsory health insurance funds. Outpatient medications are prescribed by family doctors. They are issued for children free of charge, for adults - with compensation up to 70%. Citizens infected with coronavirus have access to more than 20 drugs with various international names, dosage forms of release, as well as medicines for symptomatic treatment. A complete list of compensated drugs is available on the website of the National Health Insurance Agency. According to the Ministry of Health, in 2020, about 655 million lei was planned to compensate for medicines, 85% of which were used over 11 months. // 18.12.2020 - InfoMarket.
