According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in September 2020, the average salary in Moldova before tax was 7991.3 lei. About 66.7% of national salaries were below the national average. At the same time, about 47.3% of salaries did not reach 6 thousand lei, 31.5% ranged from 6 thousand to 10 thousand lei, and 21.2% of salaries exceeded 10 thousand lei per month. The NBS notes that compared to September 2019, the number of people whose salaries do not reach 6 thousand lei have decreased (-7 pp).
