According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, from the beginning of the pandemic to the present, 93,961 cases of COVID-19 infection cases have been confirmed in Moldova (+1442 over the last day). More than 80% of patients were successfully treated (75,530 people). There are 3,185 patients in hospitals, of which 253 are in a very serious condition, incl. 53 are connected to ventilators, 4,272 people receive home treatment, and 27,362 people are under monitoring. At the same time, 2,091 people have died from complications caused by the virus since the beginning of the pandemic in Moldova (+19 per day). Most of the dead - at the age of 60-69 years - 798 people (4.3% of the total number of those infected with the virus). Most of the cases - aged 50-59 years - are 19,263 people, while the mortality rate in this category was 1.7% (328 people). The highest mortality rate is among people over 80 years old: 16.4% of the 1,648 people infected with COVID-19 in this age group died from complications. According to official data, 2 deaths were registered in Moldova in patients with COVID-19 at the age of 10-19 years (0.04% of the total number of those infected), 8 deaths of patients at the age of 20-29 years (0.08%), 27 people aged 30-39 years (1.07%), 89 people aged 40-49 years (0.5%).
