The government has approved a new regulation on the acceptance of construction work and installed equipment.

The government has approved a new regulation on the acceptance of construction work and installed equipment.

The document provides for strengthening state control over quality in the construction industry and improving the safety of citizens in the process of construction work. The document regulates the activities of economic agents specializing in construction, as well as the procedure for conducting control by employees of the National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision. The document also contains the rules for acceptance of work at the final stages of construction. Buildings will be checked for compliance with certain criteria: sustainability, operational safety, fire safety, hygiene and children's health, thermal insulation, sound insulation, sustainable use of natural resources. The updated regulatory framework will help reduce the number of unauthorized buildings, as well as the number of objects that do not comply with the project or are executed with violations. It should be noted that today the Agency for Technical Supervision does not participate in the inspection of construction projects at the final stage, therefore, violations committed at this phase of construction cannot be detected. Also, there is too intensive construction of multi-storey buildings with violations that cannot be detected during construction, as well as a discrepancy between the number of floors in the project and upon completion of construction. In 2019-2021 in Chisinau municipality, were registered 89 individual residential buildings, 62% of which were in fact converted into apartment buildings, and 7% of the objects did not receive permission from local authorities. // 14.06.2023 — InfoMarket
