This was stated by Vitalie Mîța, State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, speaking at a high-level energy meeting organized as part of the International Zero Waste Forum, held from June 5 to 7 in Istanbul. The event brought together decision-makers, representatives of government agencies, the business community, and non-governmental organizations to promote the principles of a circular economy and sustainable development. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the closing of the forum. During the meeting, officials and experts from many countries discussed the role of energy efficiency in strengthening energy security, enhancing economic resilience, and protecting the environment. In his speech, Vitalie Mîța emphasized that energy efficiency is one of the most important areas for strengthening Moldova's energy security, including reducing consumer costs, reducing energy consumption and grid losses, and modernizing buildings and energy infrastructure. He also noted Moldova's efforts in energy efficiency, including the implementation of the Residential Energy Efficiency Fund and the "Green House" (Casa Verde) program, which provides financial support for the energy modernization of residential buildings.
