In 2026, Moldovans will no longer receive electricity compensation, which was automatically included in their bills for the first 110 kWh
This was announced by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Natalia Plugaru, answering journalists' questions after a government meeting on Wednesday. She noted that next year, the government will not provide this compensation to citizens and will focus more on cash payments for heating to support vulnerable groups and families who truly need assistance. Natalia Plugaru clarified that the final electricity compensation of the year will be included in consumers' bills, which they will receive in December for consumption in November. The government notes that, with support from the European Union, starting in February 2025, it will pay electricity compensation directly on bills for the first 110 kWh consumed. All Moldovan households receive this compensation monthly. Thus, each family pays the first 110 kWh of their electricity bill at the rate they had before the last price increase.// 03.12.2025 – InfoMarket.
