The government has clarified the period for including household income in applications for energy compensation during the cold season
According to amendments to the Regulation on the Provision of energy compensation in the form of cash payments, approved by the government at its meeting on November 5, the Energy Vulnerability Assessment (SIVE) system will now include the period from April to September instead of May to October. This will avoid delays associated with late income declarations for October. Applicants whose primary heating source is solid fuel and who did not receive the cold season benefit in 2022-2023 or did not use the compensation in 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 are not required to register individually on the information platform and must submit a registration application to their local social worker. Additionally, the calculation of maternity benefits when calculating total family income is being adjusted: coefficients of 25%, 50%, and 75% will now be applied for July, August, and September. These changes to the energy consumption compensation program, implemented through the SIVE information system, are aimed at improving the accuracy of calculations and the timeliness of payments to low-income families. These changes will take effect immediately after the publication of the decree in the Official Monitor, as these measures are urgent and necessary for timely preparation for the new payment season. // 05.11.2025 — InfoMarket
