
Moldova makes an important contribution to promoting efficient energy cooperation at European level – the National Agency for Energy Regulation
This was reported by the National Agency for Energy Regulation, noting that its Director General Alexei Taran took part in the 61st meeting of the Energy Community Regulatory Board (ECRB), held on June 4 in Athens (Greece). During the meeting, national regulators and energy sector representatives discussed a number of important topics for strengthening regional cooperation. The discussions covered the latest developments in the regulatory framework in the Member States, as well as the measures taken to ensure the financial independence of regulators. At the same time, was analyzed progress in the implementation of the Electricity Integration Package and the transposition of the provisions of Energy Package III in the field of natural gas and electricity. The participants also reviewed the level of achievement of the targets set for 2025 in the electricity, gas, REMIT Regulation and consumer protection sectors. An important component of the meeting was the presentation of the activities of the ECRB Working Groups on Gas (GWG), REMIT, Electricity Market, Retail Market and Consumer Protection.
