The Moldovagaz company has temporarily suspended purchases of natural gas due to rising prices in Europe
This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban, noting that there is no gas shortage in our country so far and its purchases can resume next week. “Last week we had some purchases, I can’t say their volume, but we’ve taken a break for now. This week we’ll see how events develop, and perhaps next week we’ll resume the process - already in September,” noted Vadim Ceban. The head of Moldovagaz hopes that the price of gas will stabilize and Moldova will be able to make new purchases for the first month of autumn. Gas prices in Europe have risen due to tensions in the Middle East and a possible escalation of the conflict involving Israel, Lebanon and Iran. At the beginning of this month, the price of gas on the European market reached $457 per 1 thousand cubic meters, which is the highest figure in the last 8 months. // 14.08.2024 – InfoMarket.
